KRONE EG are oak windows of the highest quality, made from laminated oak. KRONE EG is also a sustainable solution as we focus on utilising all wood from the forest, even the shorter pieces. This ensures maximum utilisation of the wood and at the same time significantly reduces the amount of discarded wood - that's sustainability at its best.

To ensure the windows retain their beautiful lustre and, not least, provide optimal protection, oak windows and doors must be treated 1-2 times immediately after installation. Before the windows leave our factory, we give the wood a base treatment with clear oil to protect against mould.

Hardwood windows in other types of wood

In addition to oak, we also offer windows and doors in douglas fir, kerto and more. Each type of wood has its own distinctive character, but what they all have in common is the wood's ability to create warmth, and all types of wood provide an elegant and highly durable solution for windows and doors.

Kerto is unfamiliar to many, but it is laminated wood glued together with 3 mm spruce veneer. Kerto is often used in larger buildings, such as schools, as it has incredible strength and stability. Furthermore, Kerto windows can be made with extra deep frames that can be used for seating. You can read more about the different types of wood here.

Combinations with hardwood

You can also choose a combination solution and combine hardwood with painted pine, in the colour of your choice, and make the walking frames in hardwood. This solution gives a great effect both indoors and outdoors.
