Why choose wood?

Wood is a warm, healthy and sustainable building material. Hardwood, as the name suggests, is hard and stable and therefore often has a longer lifespan than pine. Hardwood windows have become incredibly popular in recent years as they create a warmth in many newer buildings, which are often minimalist and can often appear "cold".

We have a lot of experience working with wood, which is why we offer a wide range of wood types for you to choose from.

KRONE Eg

Eg er en stærk og modstandsdygtig træsort med en smuk, livlig struktur. Vi anvender altid massiv europæisk eg for at sikre høj kvalitet. For at bevare gløden og give optimal beskyttelse anbefaler vi behandling 1–2 gange efter montering. Vinduerne leveres med en klar oliegrunder, der beskytter mod skimmelsvamp og forlænger træets levetid.

Kebony

Kebony er et meget holdbart og bæredygtigt nåletræ med en dyb, mørkebrun farve. Over tid udvikler det en naturlig sølvgrå patina i vind og vejr. Den høje hårdhed giver ekstra robusthed mod slid, og træets egenskaber kan sammenlignes med teak og mahogni – dog med længere holdbarhed takket være den særlige keboniseringsproces. Kerto / krydsfiner Kerto er en lamineret krydsfiner af tynde granfiner, som giver en imponerende styrke og stabilitet. Materialet bruges typisk i træ/alu‑vinduer og gør det muligt at skabe dybe karme, siddepladser og større konstruktive løsninger som curtain walling. Oak is a strong and durable wood species with a beautiful, lively structure. We always use solid European oak to ensure high quality. To preserve the warmth and provide optimal protection, we recommend treatment 1–2 times after installation. The windows are delivered with a clear oil primer that protects against mould and extends the life of the wood.

Kebony is a highly durable and sustainable softwood with a deep, dark brown colour. Over time it develops a natural silver-grey patina from exposure to the elements. The high hardness provides extra resistance to wear, and the wood's properties are comparable to teak and mahogany – but with greater durability thanks to the special kebonisation process. Kerto / plywood Kerto is a laminated plywood made from thin spruce veneers, providing impressive strength and stability. The material is typically used in wood/aluminium windows and makes it possible to create deep frames, window seats and larger structural solutions such as curtain walling.
